Meet Dr. Garden

Dr. Pearl D. Garden, Ed.D., is a distinguished instructor at Hartwell, committed to shaping the next generation of compassionate and competent K-12 educators. She earned her Doctor of Education in Supervision Curriculum and Instruction Elementary Education from Texas A&M-Commerce, an M.Ed. in Advanced Literacy from Concordia University, an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix, and a B.S. in Kinesiology from Texas A&M-Commerce.

With 23 years of teaching experience, Dr. Garden has made significant contributions in various roles, including a Literacy Coach at the Texas Reading Academy and a Professional Development Specialist at Dallas ISD. Her expertise encompasses literacy coaching, instructional leadership, and professional development. Dr. Garden is renowned for her ability to mentor and train educators, ensuring they employ research-based best practices to foster student success. Her dedication to education and systemic change makes her an invaluable asset to Hartwell and its mission to nurture future educators.
