Meet Walter

Walter Jurek, a highly experienced instructor at Hartwell, brings a rich background in engineering and education. He earned a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Mechanics from the U.S. Air Force Academy.

Jurek has taught at prestigious institutions including LeTourneau, where he instructs algebra-based physics and introduction to engineering courses, and Grace School of Theology, where he teaches Physical Sciences. His previous roles include Assistant Professor of Engineering Mechanics at the U.S. Air Force Academy.

At Hartwell, Jurek is dedicated to guiding students on their journey to becoming compassionate and effective K-12 educators. His teaching philosophy emphasizes the integration of practical engineering skills and a strong ethical foundation, preparing students to inspire and educate future generations. With his extensive experience in both academic and professional settings, Jurek provides invaluable insights and support to Hartwell students, helping them develop into quality, caring educators.
